An interactive and engaging program that equips individuals with skills and information to prevent sexual assault.  Assault is not a women’s issue, or a men’s issue … it 是人类的问题. This is an invitation to be part of the movement to end sexual assault. 

3:45 – 4:15 p.m.  关心社区 -朝向帐篷
The Director of Campus 安全 and representative from the Rindge Police Department will provide greater understanding about the kind a caring community which you are 加入. They will give an overview of the support and services provided by their staff team to foster a safe and supportive campus community.

4:15 - 4:45 p.m.: Keynote Speaker, John Massaro '18 -朝向帐篷

John Massaro ’18 earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a double minor in Sociology and Political Science and was actively involved 在校园 during his time at Franklin Pierce. John was also a senior tour guide for Admissions, Co-creator and President of the student club Men Engaged for the Greater Good of the America (MEGGA), Senator for the Class of 2018, two-time recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Service award, recipient of the 2018 Man of the year award, and a two-year Captain of the Men's Lacrosse team. 

Post-graduation, John began his career at the Connecticut Judicial Branch as a Juvenile Detention Officer, where he worked with the most at-risk youth. 三年之后 of working in Juvenile Detention, John transitioned to become a Juvenile Probation Officer where he supervises and mentors at-risk youth in and out of the community. While working full time, John was also attending graduate school at the University of Connecticut school of Social Work. In 2023, John received his Master’s in Social Work with a focus on Policy and Practice.

6:15 - 9 p.m. Shuttles to 公园 Theater Event: Showing Oppenheimer 

Free admission and popcorn to all attending students. Shuttles will pick up at Granite 院子里.

7 - 9 p.m. Pearly Pond ‘boat-in’ movie night, showing The Shallows, 湖边 公园 
Join your fellow Ravens for a ‘Float-in’ Movie experience. As always, shark films are best watched with your toes in the water. Kayaks, paddleboards and innertubes.

学术评议会 celebrates the start of the academic year.  你会听到 President Kim Mooney '83, Provost Catherine Paden, Assistant Professor of Accounting Christine Betts, and the 学生 Government President, Adeleine Schmitt.

11 a.m. - 12 p.m. FYI Meetings with 教师, 取向的帐篷 breakout sessions
The First Year Experience at Franklin Pierce is filled with multiple opportunities 成长. You will learn about up-coming programming that connects and supports you in your college journey. 学生s will meet with their FYI instructor, who also be serving as your academic advisor, and learn what is expected of you academically as a new student at Franklin Pierce University.

12 – 1:30 p.m. 同侪小组午餐 & 〇空闲时间 Marketplace Café

1 - 2 p.m. Academic College’s Ice Cream Social:

Test your ingenuity, and ability to engineer a boat made only from cardboard, plastic 包裹和管道胶带. Medals awarded for fastest time, best team effort and best boat 设计.

11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.  51st Annual Grand Monadnock Climb 

取向 isn’t complete without a hike up Mount Monadnock!  As has been our tradition for 51 years, students join members of the campus community on a foray up the most climbed mountain in North America.
